You can choose to either arrive in Nainital a night before or embark on the journey on the day itself. The distance between New Delhi and Nainital is about 310 km and should take around 8 hours to cover. If you are travelling during the day, get some rest and have some food before ticking off at least of Nainital's must-visit attractions – Naini Lake.

Explore Nainital's quaint charm in the hamlets of Kulbury and Pangot and get a bird's-eye view of the town and its eponymous lake from inside a cable car. For a more leisurely experience, you can try boating at Naukuchiatal. Do not miss Kainchi Dham that was visited by Steve Jobs (founder of Apple) and Mark Zuckerberg (founder and CEO of Facebook).
